Please let me know if you find out anything. i'm so so tired of this, i'm stuck with using an old 2.0 lakka build which is the ONLY lakka build that works on my PI3 mobel B+. the 9/11 build don't work properly, the 9/05 build don't work either.
I've spent the last few days trying to troubleshoot this thing, download different lakka builds after lakka builds, tweaking the settings over and over again.
N64 games don't work at all no matter what emulator i pick, as well as all the aforementioned stuff that don't work as mentioned in my first post, none of those things worked. How to Install Lakka on a Raspberry Pi 3 2 1 B+ 0 Zero: In this Instructable, I'm going to show you how to install Lakka on your Raspberry Pi. The september 11 build of lakka can't even run snes games i put super metroid in the roms folder, then try loading it with snes9x (just regular "snes9x" core) but it doesn't work, then i tried re-launching the game a few more times and finally it worked. so i'm sure its definitely not the bios fault. Then i rolled back to the old lakka version, and the bios immediately worked again. I even had lakka manually scan the freaking bios file, it sees it and scans it alright, but the reicast core information page in the lakka menu still shows it as "missing". The dc bios files i have worked perfectly in the old version of lakka, but it is not detected on the newest lakka nightly build. Here's the md5 of my dc_boot.bin, which is the same as yours:Īnd here's the md5 of my dc_flash.bin, which is also the same as your: I've used MD5 checker to extract the MD5 information from my dc bios. What's worst nobody is reporting this, so looks like i'm going to have to be the one to do it huh? I know lakka is constantly in development and respect to the lakka team, but c'mon man, i mean wow.not even snes games will run at all unless you relaunch them multiple times, are you frakking kidding me? is this some kind of sick joke? i know some stuff is going to not work properly, but almost EVERYTHING is broken, are you kidding me? i thought the nightly builds were atleast tested to some degree before release. so in other words, there's a good chance that most of the nightly lakka builds are not working i mean i randomly picked two versions and they both don't work.that's not a good sign. I tried another installation of lakka on may 2019, ".gz" and i'm still seeing the same problem of bios not found/games not launching. Oh by the way, i took the entire "system" and "roms" folder from my old lakka sd card and placed it in the new lakka sd card with the latest lakka installation, so there's no reason why it shouldn't work, and yet NOTHING is working properly. which makes no sense because on my older lakka instillation i was playing "nights into dreams" on my pi3 just fine, albeit its really slow. Tried sega saturn, it actually detects and boot past the bios, then it doesn't work anymore. You can forget about sega cd games, because the bios aren't detected in there either, even though they worked fine on my previous older lakka installation. Of course since the bios can't even be detected, the games won't launch. previously it worked just fine on my older version of lakka, but on new lakka it doesn't work. if you try to use another emulator like b-snes, it'll NEVER WORK.ĭreamcast bios are not detected, even though they are correctly placed in the dc folder in the "systems folder". Snes games will also fail to launch the first time with snes9x unless you keep relaunching it, then it'd work. N64 games don't work at all no matter what emulator i use.
Pc-engine CD games don't work most of the time or would only work intermediately. Lakka is a lightweight Linux distribution based on RetroArch that transforms a small computer like a Raspberry Pi into a full blown retrogaming console. nothing is working, everything is broken.
The games don't launch, the emulators won't work, and the games aren't properly detected, even if you launch them manually they will just reboot back to the lakka menu. Especially now that a lot of users have RPi3 B+. It turn out these issues are taking too long to fix, and it’s better to not hold the release any longer.
